If you are wanting a really down to earth, typical university experience I probably wouldn't recommend St Andrews, because the time you spend there will be nothing like any other university. It is free to all Saint Andrew Parish Members! St Andrews is and amazing uni to study at!! I love how you can just walk around the town and see someone you know every few hundred metres. The new Students' Union is fantastic and the opportunities for students are incredible. I find this quite frustrating and it definitely lowers my impression of the university's committment to improving student experience. Modern buildings are just as amazing, perhaps with the exception of the physics building. Ive never been happier or learned more than when Im at St. Andrews, and Im disappointed it isnt #1. Such a unique experience. I really like the University of St Andrews. It is a truly wonderful place to study with many opportunities to get involved in different societies and events from both traditional to modern. I am really happy with my experience at St. Andrews. Overall, this university is like Marmite. Student accommodation is adapt and equipped to most things you may need, including various study areas and activity rooms within the dorms themselves (music room, movie room, etc.). Offers the greatest balance between the opportunity to develop as person and as an academic. There is truly never a dull moment during the academ year and I am so glad that I decided to study here!
