Can you try using a digital optical cable between the TV audio out (digital optical port) and the soundbar's TV digital optical in port? I wont buy another Samsung.

Hi there if got a new Samsung Qe55Q60R tv & just bought a Panasonic home theater audio system sc-htb700 & I cant get Amazon Prime video to work just keeps saying to go to amazon help on the website wonder if someone could help solve my problem so frustrated as all other virgin media channels work, Mar 15, 2020 by

Problem went away but sound quality degraded. Well it worked for me!

This tv has two small speakers on back, one on each end.

Did not help. After a bunch more time spent on the internet I have ended up with my cable box into HDMI port on the soundbar and then using the ARC connection to the tv.

Apr 2, 2017 by Failed Samsung sound test. Kanesha warr.

If you were actually getting DD 5.1 with the other setting, that would explain the difference in surround. Still waiting for answer .

How far from the docking station are the headphones when being used? Mike Fleming

Sound 'hicups' on tv speakers and soundbar using HDMI or optical audio connection.

Turn off the Anynet setting.

Sometimes It goes off again in just minutes, other times its hours or days. The sound would cut out for 1/2 second intermittently.

Im just trying to figure out how it got turned on.

It solved the problem.

has to be up max of 100 to hear. I have to channel up and down dozens of times then it's back Hi: I have had the same problem.

May 29, 2017 by From day 1 ive had the same issue as well. 16:05. 12:53.

My Samsung will play on Channel 3 (directv), but one all the others it cuts in and out.

He believed his issue to be the sound bar, not the TV. Its all bs with no solutions.

Sounds like another sound issue the VM engineers need to fix along side of the Dolby sound out of sync.

my Samsung 43" tv sound is perfect.

RCA audio cable (cable with red + white RCA plugs at each end) or 3.5mm to RCA adapter cable i.e.

It seems to happen whether watching Prime, PBS, Youtube etc.

Hopefully a future update will iron these out.

As per a recommendation on another site I installed a Easycel Audio Digital to Analog Converter DAC ($14.99) in between my tv and the receiver.

No amount of resets nor firmware upgrades have fixed it. Not the sap (language) button, not the mute. Dont use smart tv apps.

I had to change the video quality from HDX to SD.

(Button should be grayed out when off).

What was happeneing is when using ARC, the audio stream is sent back on the same HDMI cable from the TV to my Denon receiver. It's fine now. This isn't a raised fault as of yet but as a few people are having the same issue, we'd love to raise this to get checked on further.

It just comes and goesturn it off and back on and it works fine.

The second I disable anynet, the tv speakers turn on and my home theater receiver becomes a really expensive home decor piece. walls in between, as this can limit the distance that it can work correctly.

It's just plugged in to the wall and uses wifi to watch.

It's highjacking the TV and causes this problem.

The optical out of the TV goes into the DAC and the output is a left and right channel RCA which goes into the receiver. IF THIS IS TRUE then they are being CHEAP. @summerhill, Have a 65 Samsung @ 18 months old, recently had the dipping in sound out if the blue after working great.

My conclusion is that older DAC in aging receivers cannot process fast enough compared to the new DAC I used.

Everything works fine and then all of a sudden the sound is gone but picture is fine.

We also had their 32" HD--it suddenly and completely lost sound.

Give it a try and I hope it works for you.

Why??? Never had fault on V6 box . Or if not, what tv is the best (we do not stream, etc.)

I switched to Roku for 4k and the sound cutoff stopped. Chip Fisher. It happens on all content on the 360 box, prime video, Netflix, live and recorded programmes.

In the last 1 hour ive had the issue at least 20 times.

Have you checked that the TV volume is set to at least >50%?

faldeela adams, Tried this yesterday it has worked I have a 9 yr old tv that started this about 6 wks ago thank you so much.

None of them worked until I found this thread.

I had a similar problem with my new Q7D OLED 83" TV.

Does anyone know how to increase volume on QLED Samsung?

Cant thank you enough. Sony Bravia tv kd55xd9305 (version7).

Try connecting to the docking station from another audio source (and the TV as well if possible) using the other connection method available on the docking station i.e. 21-04-2021

@twinb1953. in picture quality/motion control for sports, sound, etc. Hope this helps as the frustration is real, christian redman

It has sound bar/speaker. Do you know whether this is the One Connect Box that is causing the issue (i.e faulty but running Anynet) or is Anynet simply firmware that runs on the TV? An unusual noise coming from a connected audio device while you are using it may indicate a problem with the audio device itself.

SAMSUNG UE49RU7300KXXU.

I have an issue when watching virgin tv where the sound cuts out for a second, maybe slightly less, but it happens repeatedly at no apparent regular frequency, but enough that it's annoying - any suggestions to resolve this? There is no solution to this problem.

JavaScript is disabled. I have a new Samsung Qled 65 inch and the sound is cutting out on it, I tried the Anynet thing and that did not work, any other suggestions?

Going to call Apple to see if they have any ideas.. I turned off my Bose Soundbar and turned up the tv ( Samsung 4K) volume. TV verified apps were up to date.

Our picture also cuts in and out for a few seconds.

Anyone know if they still make similar "framed" larger tv?

What devices?

I don't have suraround sound or anything special, but when I turned off Dolby.

I/R device is attached to CAAVO. Your manual explains the correct connections for your situation.

I am having the same problem.

Techs explain sound problems on newer tvs like QLED due to public's desire for thin tv and Samsung assumes you will also buy sound bar. May 20, 2017 by

I recently purchased a samsung UN40J5200 1080 Smart TV with preloaded apps including Netflix and Amazon.

A forum community dedicated to home theater owners and enthusiasts.

Tv is two years old.

If you get steady audio, you'll know the problem is related to using ARC.

Here is a link which may be of some help. but it's in the menu somewhere.

I was on the phone with Samsung, Netflix amd my internet company and got nowhere, that were blaming each other.

DVD TO HDMI 1 (CAAVO), ROKO TO HDMI 2 (CAAVO), and Amazon Firestick to HDMI 3 (CAAVO).

I jyst wish Samsung would do the right thing. Can you all reply with the answers to the following questions: I appreciate some of you have given this information already but if you can provide it all in one post this will help us gather the information, New around here?

I have the Samsung nu6900 using optical audio into an older yamaha home theater receiver.

HDMI out from your cable box to HDMI in on the soundbar. I mainly watch Netflix / Prime / YouTube etc through my Apple TV box which goes through my Receiver so the impact is not too bad, but it is however ridiculous that I cant listen to the TV through my receiver. Got a new one and fixed. It will not send the sound to the receiver unless it is connected to the ARC port.

Disabling ANYNET is what worked.

it happens some with just tv over the air but not as much.

I have a QN65Q6DRAF tv.

The only thing I know that is different is Verizon (my internet provider) did a recent upgrade to the service (900+ mbps) and some folks had to get new routers but I already had an upgraded router.

All my devices are connected to Caavo Control Center so that I can eliminate need for all the remotes. 26-04-2021 Software version 1374. on Its just the way samsung makes tvs. The tv even cutout on the digital antenna.

Samsung QLED 65" Q7 less than one year old. Maybe my sound is just going bad on the tv though its only a few years old.

I have the same problem. The minute we hook up the optical cable for (better) sound, the dropouts start.

Fixed sound but now my PS4 and Apple tv are left out so I purchased an Insignia NS-HZ335 3 in 1 out HDMI switch.

I just wanted to chime in because folks were hanging up on Samsung and I dont believe this is just a Samsung issue.

Sprucey

He complained of audio dropouts, too, but his sound bar had optical only.

Thanks for all the comments confirming it's not just my box would appreciate a moderator or official line on a resolution or timescale for this issue being resolved please.

The Apple TV is 2012 but updated. Best Buy did say the sound on many of the newer tvs dont last long and he suggested getting a sound bar but its seemed to be fine and I dont have but so much space - just room for tv. 26-04-2021

Nothing works.

Virgin very quiet on this , quite common fault when using soundbar through hdmi arc connection.

I have no clue what it all means but it workedluckily, because the next adjustment was to be a brick through the screen.

I don't have any cables or sound bars connected to my tv.

Neil Berman.

When our sound bar is hooked up via component cable there is NO DROPOUTS. Even when I said the issue was from on tv on apps via roku - all sources, they refused to accept there is an issue.

I bought my 55 inch flat screen samsung "smart" TV last year during black friday and have had the same problem.

I dont have cable - watch tv thru over the air signal.

Yes, I have the same issue.

It seems to have sorted the problem. The only HDMI cable to the TV is the CAAVO cable (to HDMI IN 1). I believe it's defective optical boards and Samsung doesn't want to replace them in millions of units. Huriyyah Amatullah-Bey.

Ken, try changing the video quality from HDX or HD to SD.

Make absolutely sure you are using 4K compliant HDMI cables, especially if you are using ARC.

At times vol.

Sound just through tv speakers ok , fault only when soundbar on through hdmi arc .

However, to make this happen, you must turn on the external audio device before connecting the optical cable.

Mar 8, 2018 by Go into your settings on the TV and find Anynet (which if 'on' turn 'off').

Gwynita Steele, I have a Samsung smart tv with a Samsung surround sound Followed these instructions and volume increased significantly and hopefully will also correct the cutting out of sound. THEN HDMI out from the soundbar to the HDMI ARC input on the TV. Wespecifically need the make, model and software version. http://www.samsung.com/au/support/skp/fa Also, if you have an headphones connection on the TV, try it and see if the problem exists.

I really didnt think about it until one night in bed I realized that my tv upstairs didnt do it EVER! Jan 14, 2019 by

I have the same problem, but I have to unplug it for 10 mins or longer and it comes back in but now it's going off soon after it's back on??

We've isolated the issue to the optical board.

System wired 360 to tv by hdmi , tv to soundbar hdmi arc .

I did the anynet and seems to be working.

I have a SAmsung TV and a Vizio soundbar and the sequence is the same and works great!

Jul 26, 2017 by So my parents just purchased a Samsung 60" 4k TV (model: UN60JU6500F) and a Samsung Soundbar (model: HW-J6000). I can only use the TV using the sound bar, so I cannot confirm that it does not happen with out it. If it's on a device and not tv box, how are youwatching?

May 22, 2018 by

That said, it's lovely to watch TV without the constant breaks in the sound - I am going to report this to Samsung. For folks who need steps, like myself: Samsung 5 Series Model UN40M5300, Anynet is found under Settings>General>External Device Manager>Anynet+(HDMI-CEC) and select the button to turn it off. Digital audio is only available with 5.1 channel broadcasts. I'm disappointed with Samsung.

So turning off Anynet+ did the trick, but now how am I supposed to use my soundbar w the tv? And all movies through Apple TV. I really just want to throw the TV.

its annoying.

I am having issues with the sound only when it comes to Netflix. The only other device plugged into back of TV is my LG soundbar (to Digital Audio Out (optical)). 25-04-2021 It cuts out all of the time.

I have a samsung smart tv maybe 48 inches, can't remember. I don't want to have to purchase additional equipment to make it work.

The reason im saying now.. Susan webb, Turn off dolby.

Good luck! I purchase a Samsung on Black Friday.

I'd recommend trying an optical connection as a test. For a better experience, please enable JavaScript in your browser before proceeding. 3drs_1fivestarbaby, Thank you I have just done this so fingers crossed I will let you know, Nov 10, 2019 by Normally 2 or 3 times in an evening.

(And turn off HDMI Control for the test.) 21:45.

I changed the Audi to PCM and turned off the anynet . However, anytime I have anynet enabled, my home theater works, but, I get hiccups in sound randomly whenever it feels like it usually at the most important parts of a dialogue, so I rewind to hear what they said.

So I googled and found that the anynet off is working.

It may be a 'speaker' problem as opposed to an audio one.

Cant figure it, Ive closed and shut down everything, hard reset the iPad, checked setting on the tv to make sure no energy savings or mute was set to come on.

Jun 3, 2018 by I talked to Samsung and they blamed it on every device attache'd to the tv.

I shouldnt have to deal with this crap.

Which also means, I must have anynet turned on at all times. A four thousand pound mistake. Further searching I discovered that a post saying the sound signal might be too complex for my older sound system.

Some films, via the Netflix app, I can reproduce sound cut out 100% guarantted in the same place.

Changing the Anynet to off and turning of DolbyDIgital didnt work for me. I'd like to take Samsung to task on this! To manually change the Sound Output setting, do one of the following: Also the input selected on the Soundbar may have to be changed to OPT input (i think). Hate to tell you this but I have ac Samsung ue65hu8500.

Tivo V6 - 1 TB - TV360 Version 4.30 (Hardware version ARRIS-DCX960-MPA+), Samsung 4K Q60T TV (Software version 1460), Samsung Soundbar Q60T, Problem with all sources through the TV360: live, catch-up, recorded, Netflix, Amazon prime. It's only either 2 or 3 yrs old this Christmas and it to has also just started do that.

After 3 days of trouble shooting with Samsung, I finally decided to replace the HDMI cable and my intermittent audio drop outs disappeared. turklefoot.

Success!!

I can turn it off and on and it will fix it most of the time. It's infuriating.

ctopjian1. The audio drop outs would occur whenever I played Netflix, HBOMax or Prime Video content. The moment I turn off Anynet+, the soundbar disconnects from the TV. ), to check whether it is a Bluetooth problem between the docking station and the headphones or perhaps a problem within the TV or the connection type between the TV and the headphones. Many thanks for this suggestions - I went into the settings menu and turned it off.

Thanks for your posts and apologies for the issues you are having.

Turned off the anynet.

No sound at.

Prev., we had a Samsung large tv 12 years--w/2 or 3 " black "frame" around screen--great.

William Clark.

Driving me crazy. I changed my HDM1 cable that supports 4K2K and it solved all of my intermittent sound problems, Oct 4, 2020 by

Thank you!

When downloading movies from EITHER app after about 20 min of watching sound sound cuts out with short irregular bursts of sound. Issue started a couple of weeks ago. Only regular broadcast tv. The only issue seems to be that I need to manually turn the volume off on the TV because Anynet used to turn the TV volume off automatically when I used my AV receiver. Im not using Dolby. Please confirm whether it's live TV, On Demand, Recordings or both.

HDMI-CEC used for ARC can be a bit flaky. Accessibility. 25-04-2021

Set the TV to PCM, (NOT Bitstream). What are other resolutions? Use the Quick Settings screen to change to the connected device: Use the Select button to select Audio Out/Optical on the Sound Output menu.
